The School Day

Before & After School

No pupils should arrive at school before 8:30 am when the gates are unlocked.  Children can come into school from 8.30 for Early Work (15 minutes before school officially opens).  School officially opens at 8.45 and registers are taken at 8.50am

Members of staff are on duty 15 minutes after each school session.  School finishes at 3pm.  Parents are requested to take their children off site once collected to enable the site to be secure for the after school club.

The school cannot accept responsibility for pupils arriving before 8.30am or remaining on the premises after 3.15 pm unless taking part in a supervised activity.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club operates each morning from 7:45am – 8:30am. Children should be brought to the Nursery, via the outside entrance, where they will be supervised by a member of staff. Breakfast itself usually consists of a choice of hot or cold drinks and a choice of cereals or toast. It is also possible for pupils to be supervised before school without having breakfast.

Please note that there are a limited number of places available at Breakfast Club and enquiries should be made in the first instance with the school office.

For more information on Breakfast club please speak to the school office.

Breaks

Year 2 & Year 3 children have a break between 10.15 - 10.30 a.m., Year 4 & Year 5 between 10.30 - 10.45 a.m.  & Yr6  between 10.45 – 11.00a.m.

Lunchtime Supervision

Behaviour at lunchtime is monitored closely and the school expects, and indeed enjoys, high standards of behaviour. The Headteacher reserves the right to exclude pupils during the lunch period if their behaviour poses a threat.
