Dear Parents and Carers,

Following advice regarding the significant risks posed by Storm Austen, the Minister for Education and Lifelong Learning has made the decision that all Government schools and colleges will be closed on Friday 23 October 2026. This includes St Luke's School.

The safety of our children, families and staff is our highest priority, and this precautionary measure has been taken to help everyone prepare for the severe weather conditions expected across the Island.

To ensure that children can continue their learning, teachers will provide home learning activities. Further information about these arrangements will be shared with families via Class Dojo.

We encourage all families to follow the latest updates and advice from Jersey Met and the Government of Jersey throughout the storm period.

Thank you for your understanding and support. We hope that all members of our school community stay safe during the adverse weather.
